Joe Skura has been writing for local news outlets since 2000. Through college, he served as the Bureau Chief of The Ebensburg News Leader before serving as City Editor of Ebensburg’s hometown weekly newspaper, The Mountaineer-Herald. He currently serve as a freelance writer for area newspapers.
For years, individuals and businesses have come to Joe for assistance in writing, editing, proofreading, and marketing. An English teacher by profession, Joe reveled in serving others in their writing endeavors. Joe’s experience in newspaper upon graduating from high school sparked a career in journalism that has been life-long. The influence of great teachers throughout his high school and college years inspired him to become an English teacher, and that experience also is evident in his work. Joe is well-known in the region for his optimistic approach to problems and life. He strives to help others whenever possible, and enjoys laughing. However, when it comes to your work - he takes all projects seriously and is dedicated to success.
